Presenting: “Helping Ourselves Heal With Help”
Marietta, OH, July 22, 2021, 5 to 8 p.m at the United Methodist Church, 312 Gilman Ave., Marietta OH.
Try This First events feature educational presentations and hands on demonstrations to help us learn ways to support our health. Often, lifestyle changes and non-drug therapies can enhance healing, complement drug therapies, and reverse lifestyle diseases such as diabetes type II.
One feature of each presentation is a free plant-based meal. The purpose of a plant-based meal is to showcase the delicious possibilities of healthy, organic vegetable and fruit-based meal options. The goal is to serve food even meat eaters can appreciate.
In this presentation, attendees will learn some methods of enhancing the healing process. Dave Hawkins, MH, CNC, will show us how to make herbal medicines and identify wild native herbs. Attendees that wish to make their own at the session should inform when they register as the cost of material has not yet been determined. Live, wild native plants will be in pots for attendees to see and learn to identify.
Dr. David Norris, DC, MS, DACBN will help us discover how to improve thyroid function, lose weight without exercise, increase energy levels, stop losing sleep and avoid symptoms of depression.
Christiane Marshall will assist a professional from Black Hills Health and Education Center to demonstrate a simple hydrotherapy method we can do ourselves at home to promote healing. (Professional will be speaking remotely.)
