We’re growing at Cedar Lane Farm! Our new greenhouse is up and operational, with bushels of beyond-organic fresh vegetables coming on weekly.
Getting your non-GMO, heirloom vegetables is simple. Here’s how it works.
- Visit the online SHOP every Monday or Tuesday. We’ll tell you what’s available.
- Get your order in by Tuesday evening and pay online.
- We’ll harvest your order on Wednesday and bag it up for you.
- Stop by Mother Earth Foods as early as Thursday and pick up your order.
It’s that EASY!
Events at Cedar Lane Farm
Our annual Herb Walk has taken place each year since 2014 and is a highly anticipated event every spring. Thanks to all who have made it an on-going success. Check out the gallery from our 2019 walk below.
And now, with the addition of the new Cedar Lane Farm Kitchen, we are looking forward to hosting many future culinary events. Watch this website and our social media pages for scheduling.
Do you have a recipe or product you’d like to get out to the world? The Cedar Lane Farm Kitchen is commercially licensed and fully equipped for your project.
For those of you who asked, here is the recipe for Rebecca Wood’s wild foods cracker spread:
Ramp Pesto: in food processor combine equal parts ramps, garlic mustard, chickweed and your favorite fresh greens (spinach, basil, etc.) with a dash of sea salt, pepper, garlic cloves to taste, almonds, cashews or pine nuts, splash of favorite hot sauce or sprinkle of cayenne, olive oil to blend!
United Plant Savers
Cedar Lane Farm and owner Dave Hawkins is a proud member of the United Plant Savers, Stewards of Healing Herbs. As demand for medicinal herbs has grown over the past few years in America, so have issues with shortages and habitat destruction. Through research, education and conservation efforts, United Plant Savers works “to protect native medicinal plants of the United States and Canada and their native habitat while ensuring an abundant renewable supply of medicinal plants for generations to come.” For at-risk species, United Plant Savers has developed a unique “Adopt an Herb” program in which sponsors commit to a five-year== sponsorship of one of the 20 native medicinal plants on their at-risk list.
