Break Free from Plastics in July
Do you want to learn more about using less plastic in your daily life? Are you interested in detoxing from Microplastics? Do you want to eliminate all plastics from your routine?
Join MOVCA and Green Sanctuary on Friday July 3rd at 6pm for a community drum circle to kick off the Break Free From Plastics month of July.
This event will take place during Marietta's First Friday event in the courtyard at the First Unitarian Society at 232 Third Street.

Wooden Nickel Program
We worked hard to eliminate plastic shopping bags from the store.
We encourage customers to bring their own bags. When a customer brings their own bag for their items, they are given a wooden nickel. They are encouraged to select between 1 of 4 charities. They can put their nickel in the jar of their choice. At the end of the quarter, the nickels are totaled up and converted to dollars for donation. Dave matches the donations represented by the wooden nickels quarterly.
Customers enjoy bringing their own bags in and getting to choose what charities or no profits receive donations.
We also sell brown paper bags in a variety of sizes as well as reusable bags for customers to purchase if they forgot their own reusable bag.

Attend MOVCA's film screening of The Plastic Detox with guest panelist, Dave Hawkins on July 9th at 6pm. After the film screening there will be a Q & A and further discussion about the film.
